I woke up one night to gnawing i found like 5 inches of the tube chewed out! Holly that stinker! But the liner the tore I did not fix it right away so they gave me a reason to make sure all the tube liners are 100% perfect! But as long as I keep the liners nice they leave the PVC a lone...

The cage looks good! But I agree a hammock is needed :)

Ha, yeah, I actually get that a lot :p I live in Canada but I do have dual citizenship, need to show off my pride for both countries!

So Magyk is in the cage now. The first thing she did when she got in was pee right on the wood part, little stinker, but since then she actually hasn't had an accident outside of the litter box I got her (A small glass pan) so that's been a pleasant surprise.

I was going to get some fleece but found some fleece blankets my Grandma got us a long time ago that we never use. However, it has '100% Polyester' on the tag, so I'm a little confused. Would that be okay for her to use?

The litter box. So glad she's learning so fast!

Gonna have to take more pics tonight.

For the tube, I definately will not use PVC if she is a big chewer just like my chin. But instead of steel ones, I found this XXL cardboard tube from petstores, they are fairly thick and steady. So I got one of them for about 4 dollars and covered it with fleece. Its been hanging in my cage for a couple of months and working pretty well.

The only type of fleece you should use especially if your chin is a chewer is either Blizzard or Anti-pill. Both of those shouldn't fray presenting loose fibers that could cause compaction to your chin if chewed/ripped. You can usually find them wherever fabric is sold.

Congrats on the new cage! :)

Hmm, that sounds interesting, it would probably make a good alternative. I looked in some of the pet stores around and I couldn't find cardboard tubes, so is there anywhere else I could possibly find some? I'll try looking in a few others before going an alternate route, $4 sounds like a bargain!

I'll try looking at the hardware store as well as I have seen cardboard tubes there in the past, but I'm wary there since they generally have multiple uses, would they have anything in them there that could be harmful? To make it tougher so they suit the use their made for? Or would it just be normal cardboard, just a bit thicker?

Alright, I'll try looking at a couple other store. I may try just putting this blanket in for a few hours and see how set she would be on destroying it, she's kind of hard to peg because she either doesn't touch something new after an experimental nibble or she completely shreds it, so it would be nice to know before hand. I've cut this stuff up and tried pulling it apart, it doesn't fray, so if I'm watching it probably won't be an issue, just to see if she'll even be okay on it.

Is fleece generally pretty expensive? The cheapest I can find is $21 per meter here... If so, I generally want to see if she would just shred it or not before buying a ton.
