We're heading home in a few minutes! Here's some quick last "mini cage" photos for you guys...then we're going to rest for a day at home while I set up Prince Jimmy's palace and then MORE photos!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!

And Claire...I ADORE their tails. I missed rat tails soooo much. Chinnie tails are awesome, but nothing can replace the weight and feel of a ratty tail. I love them!

Now that they're at my house they are calming down so much. They were freaked at my sister's house with all the activity and noise and the drive didn't help them at all. Now that the only sound is my voice, Tyson's voice and the tv, they're all napping. Completely relaxed happy rats now. I got some pictures of them being busy before they konked out.

Skeksil (Silly-Rat) running into the hammock with some squash...

I guess they didn't realize that I put five pieces in the bowl that's just one level down from them...

Silly wanted to see what was so good that it was being "fought" over...
IMG_1862.jpg

"OHHH??? THERE'S MORE???" <---I didn't want more fighting so put another chunk near them

Their Princely cage...it's very bare at the moment but once it gets all it's fun fleece and houses and such I will post another picture :D

Oh now I want ratties too! They are so stinking cute. I bet they are loving their new cage.

That is one bare cage. Good thing they came with their luxurious hammock. :hilarious:

Put some cardboard boxes in there. You can hang up old clothes for additional hammocks. Give them some paper towels or pieces of cloth to stuff in the boxes.

I'm talking to Meanie in chat and scrounged around the house to find suitable ratty items! I found a bunch of material scraps in the bottom of my sewing material boxes, a flat rate mailing box, another box and dug my Leo Braun out of the garage. Now the ratties have a suitable cage...until I get them more fleece stuffs!!!

We did pea diving (I did it wrong) yesterday. I'm going to do a bigger dish next time, I wasn't sure how big to go. They had fun figuring it out and grabbing the peas. Two of them excelled at grabbing peas and the other two excelled at stealing peas, lol.

"What's this?"

"Maybe if I stick my paw in just right..."

"Gimme pea!!!"

And lastly, they got grapes later in the evening. Tyson was laughing at me when we were at the store and I was getting fruits and veggies that I can share with the ratties. But they NEED all this stuff!!! What else will I spoil their tummies with???

Thanks everybody! I absolutely love these guys...obviously, lol. Some people don't know, but rats really started my whole love for rodents, so they are the reason I got into chins. I've been wanting rats again for nine years now...I missed those ratty tails and the cute, squishy bellies!!!

they are super cute! its probably fun feeding them the fruits & stuff compared to our chins which are so strict! that is why i love my guinea pig.......its so fun to cut up fruits & fresh herbs!

best of luck with them. they look like they have a lovely home!

I missed these too. Love the rattles. They are so stinking cute. Makes me want to share grapes with them too.
