I have to say, this last one was just so-so for me. It wasn't "OMG, I can't stand to put it down." It was more "eh, may as well read it." I mean, it was okay, but I wasn't nearly as happy with it as many of the others. At the end it felt like - How much can I possibly squeeze into the last few pages!

The whole Quinn and Blay thing too - that just irritates me. I hope she doesn't waste an entire book on that. I will be very disappointed.

Spring 2011 sounds like a lifetime away........ I think if I had to read their book in the format of the first 5 I wouldn't like it but if it stays in this same kind of "multi" main character format i can get through it...I might skip portions though. Just not into that kind of thing. I'm intrigued by where the Muhrder twist is going...

I have not felt a real connection, honestly, since Mary and Rhage. I'm actually getting rather ticked off that AGAIN the romance seems to fall by the wayside. But I've seen it a zillion times with authors who started out in romance then go to mainstream and then their books suffer IMO. I buy you because I read romance and you write romance, when you just do mainstream stuff I don't care much for you. I would love to see JR get back to the passion of Wrath and Beth and Mary and Rhage as well as Zsadist and Bella. I would love to see a full story of Quinn and Blay but that's me and many of you know I read a little on the "dark" side.

I agree Laurie. This last book was like expecting a mammoth 4th of july fireworks show and getting backyard fireworks. I am giving this next book a shot and if it's not up to par I am going to move on to some other series' Ive found.

What honestly makes me the most sad is I know JR is waiting for probably the last book to be Tohr's story. And since she's gone so deep into the fighting and the violence I'm afraid he won't have a love story. I fear the romance I'm wanting for him--which would have to be wicked good to ever replace Wellsie--is going to be very lackluster.

I hope and pray that won't happen though.

I personally am equally excited for the next Fallen Angels book in October. I hope the next book is a good story, though, and doesn't leave us hanging. And I thought I remembered Beth being pregnant at the end of one of the books? Laurie thought she vaguely remembered it also. Are we nuts?

LOL I had it pre ordered a few months ago. I ordered this one for the reader though, I don't like the hardcovers--so I'm going to have to wait til mass market and then buy a printed copy.

I've been waiting for this one for months now... tomorrow!!

No, it isn't worth it. I was completely underwhelmed by it. It didn't tell hardly anything of Payne. It was so busy going on and freaking on about everybody else's stories, that it seemed like Payne hardly got mentioned. Plus, all of a sudden Manny is this manly, Brotherhood talking street hood. Seriously? Gimme a break.

She's lost her groove.

I agree with Tunes. It was a let down. I felt like it was alot of words that were saying nothing. Ya know. It just went on and on. For sure wait for paperback or get at the library!

ugh what a disappointment - the first five books and V's book were so good.

I have to say lara adrian has as many or more books in her series and she's done a great job with the storyline.

Unfortunately JR has gone the way of many romance writers and trust me folks she IS a romance writer. Instead of following the formula she has now gone Mainstream fiction and focused more on story and fighting than romance. It's so sad really because Tohr deserves the best love story ever and since he is last there isn't going to be one.

If you like the first books in the BDB series I HIGHLY recommend Lara Adrian--she has as many books out as JR AND she stays true to her fans and follows the love story formula!
