Meet Shmee, my new Ebony. He's a little shy right now, but I took a few pictures. I would have taken him out to take pictures, but I need to scrub the playroom (Bathroom) from the last time Xavier was in there. He seems a little sad, he makes these soft sort of guinea pig squeaks. Other than that, he seems content. He's already picked out a favorite corner, lol.

Thank you! I fell in love with him the moment Chinniecrew showed me the pictures.

Shmee's exceptionally mischievous. He escaped his play area, and within seconds I looked up and he was on my night stand, then he bounced down onto a lower box next to it, took a leap and landed right in the little plastic garbage can, which was thankfully full of dry, paper items. He's very sweet though, and doesn't mind being touched if you let him sit on you and don't try and actually hold him.
He also does what my childhood hamster used to do; the passing game. He runs while my hands switch, kind of like a treadmill. It's very cute.
When I try to put him back for the night, he's all hyper and tries to escape, but is quickly distracted with a shredded wheat square.

I am so glad u r enjoying your new little boy. He is a swetheart, isn't he? And he sure loves his shreddies.

I really am! In fact, he's staring at me right now with quite an expectant expression on, he wants more playtime.

What a cutie! And they really are mischievous little things. I think they just fool us, pretending to sleep during the day. I think they are really plotting ways to escape, or things to get into when they are out of the cage. :D

aww, chinnies have a way of stealing our hearts, don't they? Even after just a short amount of time! Shmee is very handsome, congrats on your new boy!
