Thanks everyone! Your thoughts and prayers came through! I was told last night that I do still have a job here.

I think the stress was unnecessary looking at who they got rid of. I think they used the credit score as an excuse to release the people they didnt want.

UMMMM Hello--could maybe someone have already mentioned that you--like me maybe???! LOL! They would be fools to get rid of you! Good thing they realized it! Now I just hope it can continue to be the place you liked to work. Still keeping fingers crossed for you!

Great news :dance3: Still keeping fingers and paws crossed here for you!

That's good news Mel. :)

After this is all done, I hope it continues to be a decent place to work...

Evaluation of credit history is [also] frequently applied to accounting and money management positions where there is potential for fraud and embezzlement," says Wendy Powell, author of "Management Experience Acquired."

Just like I mentioned.. They dont want us stealing from the company. My take of it is that Im already penalized for my not paying the bills. Why would I bother to pay it now? Why would I steal? If someone is going to steal its going to be someone that is actually going to pay their bills. The one girl here that has been caught stealing on several different occasions with the prior owners is the one with perfect credit. So what makes her better than me? I think I am more ethical not paying a bill than stealing to pay it. But what ever. Im not saying its right to let your bills go but I would never steal to pay them. Nor will I steal after its been put on my credit.

I am glad to hear that everything worked out for you! I know exactly how you felt while waiting to find out of the hammer was going to come down. My husband was in the same boat, almost literally, with his security clearance for the Navy. We had some hard times a few years ago and we had to declare bankruptcy to clear our debt and his security clearance hinges on his credit rating. Luckily he got the clearance until 2020 but for a while there we were both sweating it!

Things work out for the best when you have people pulling for you!

It goes along with exactly what I was saying. Hopefully they will pass that here.

Coming from banking and being a former Operations Manager, and Assistant Manager of Operations and a Teller Supervisor, the times I found embezzlement happening in the company was not from the tellers who had barely any money or good credit, but instead the "higher ups" who did have good credit, but thought they could play the ledgers and get away with it! Not with me on the job lol!
