So last night during the daily chinchilla time, a fight erupted!

I closed the door off and went into the kitchen to get some shredded wheat, and when I came back my white male was chasing the baby miles!
They looked like the where doing the popcorn thing but violently and puff was really going at it!

Later after tossing a blanket on puff and getting him and cookie back in the cage I realized what happened!:impatient:
Puff and cookie pushed the door on their ferret nation open, and went after him!

I'm so weary on putting the boys together, it seems like a disaster waiting to happen, but I know it's the right thing to do until I get puff neutered, but I'd hate to add that to my already costly vet visit of getting him fixed.

Any ideas or tricks for introducing two males?
Puff is 1yr and a half, Miles is 5/6 months.

Thanks.

Perhaps your female is in heat (or even not) and your other male sees Miles as a threat to his territory. Just a thought.

That's a good thought, I just want too try and keep the boy's together until I get puff fixed.
I cant keep miles with cookie because thats his sister.

Tought situation.

Time and patience are the key to intros. You can clip whiskers and I've also placed vanilla (extract) on their noses to help mask the scent. But the best thing you can do is be patient and diligent and be prepared to separate if fighting occurs.

You trim the whiskers of the dominating chin, the meanie pants one. :D You can cut as short as half an inch, they do grow back rather quickly. From the way I've heard it described, it leaves them feeling unsure of themselves and insecure. Kinda like taking the school bully and making him go to school in his underwear. Feels a bit too insecure to pick on the other kiddos. :D
