My NEW fur-baby!!

So, today I went to Alex's (6Dusters) to buy some Apple Wood. I walked around her chin room saying hello to everyone, gave scritches and rubbed a few belly's :winkers:

There was a handsome Standard boy she had taken in a few weeks ago...he's so loveable and sweet. He originally came from Petsmart and Alex rescued him from Craigslist and was going to find him a forever home. I walked around the chin room talking to all the fuzzy-butts, the whole time thinking "I want to take this boy home".

So, after thinking about it for a few minutes I said "Pack him up he's coming home with me!!" His original owner named him Rollie and I'm not really crazy about it, so I decided to re-name him Rooney and call him Roo for short. I was going to wait to post this AFTER I took pictures, but am just so darn excited LOL. Besides it's kinda fun torturing you guys with anticipation :tease:

Finally pics!!! Everyone....meet Rooney

I let him out for some playtime and he's just so curious about everything. I've tried taking a few pics of him playing, but he just moves too fast LOL.

Tomorrow I'm going to redo his cage with pine ledges and make him a few more hanging toys...oh and a fleece tube. He has the PVC tube, so I'm thinking he might like a fleece one. Hope you enjoyed the pics!

Roo's first night home went very well!! After playtime he climbed up on my lap and snoozed for about 20 minutes as he got spoiled with scritches. He's such a gentle loveable boy, I'm so happy to have him!

Well, he has figured out that "occasionally" when he does this I put him back in his cage, so he's doing this less and less. You should see me EVERY NIGHT trying to catch 5 chinchillas LOL...takes me about 30 minutes :impatient: and most of the time I'm not too happy when I finally catch up with the last one, which is usually Remi because he's so darn FAST!!
