I have more Dawn - LOTS more. I can't believe you are still buying more. Can't you let your chins get caught up? Not that I mind sending you wood.... Oh, yea, I just got trimmings off of 2 pear trees today - want some???
One more box and it will be time for an intervention- AKA we divide it amongst ourselves. You could be one of those hoarding shows- Confessions: Wood hoarding.
Since you are obviously a pro at this I was curious what temp you bake yours at? I've read dif temps and I am currently boiling some apple sticks I just cut and wasn't sure what the temp should be set at. I've heard low for 30 mins and 350 for 15. What do you think is best?
Btw: you inspired me to make some! My neighbor actually has an apple tree thats never been sprayed so Hooray! I'm on my way to my own collection! Any tips you may have would be helpful! Thanks!
When you bake wood it should be for a lower temp for a longer period of time. You don't want to quick flash and burn it, you wan't it to dry from the inside out, slowly. I believe most people bake at 250 until the wood is dry.
