My mom has recently been looking into getting her own chinchilla. She fell in love after Mira had her kits. She has always liked chins, but the babies cinched the deal. She saw an ad on craigslist for an extra dark ebony female adult, or a kit of the same color.

The chin would be housed in a separate room as a single chin. We already have all of the supplies due to my chinchillas. I think she would be extra spoiled!

I'm excited for her!

She is looking on craigslist for a chin in need :). She wants to help a chin the way we helped Mira. Although she is trying to avoid adopting a female who has been around males. She does not want to take the chance of unexpected kits after what happened with Mira.

People are sometimes not responsible and rehoming possibly pregnant chins, but I wonder how responsible it would be for my mom to take in a possibly pregnant chinchilla, if she found one she wanted to adopt? I am always seeing ads for "mated" chinchillas from people who have no idea what they are doing. Heck, I had no idea what to do when Mira had her kits! Thank goodness for this site.

She helped me with Mira's kits. She handled them quite often to socialize them.

I would fear it would seem like my family was doing it on purpose :/.

My mom saw an ad on craigslist for ebony kits. She is going tomorrow to look at then :D My dad is in the process of making wooden shelves for the kit's cage.

She is debating between a medium ebony male or an extra dark ebony female.
