My disgusting Burger King experience..

I was on my lunch break at work which is only 30 minutes long, and BK is the closest to get something to eat so I went there. I waited in line for 25 minutes, and finally got back to work so I could scarf down my supper. Well, I opened my sandwich and there had been a BITE TAKEN OUT OF IT!!!! A guy I work with took the sandwich back, as I couldn't leave, and all they did was replace it. He said they already had one ready and everything so apparently they knew. I was sooooooooo ticked, I called them and let the phone ring for 10 minutes, then called back from my work phone and finally got an answer. I asked to speak to the manager and told her what happened and all she says is "Oh, I'm sorry." She didn't sound like she even CARED. I told her sorry wasn't going to cut it, and the replacement wasn't either because I sure as hell wasn't ever going to eat BK again!! She still didn't care and only said she was sorry. I asked for a number to speak to someone higher up and she told me the number on the back of the receipt. Uh, NO, that's the survey. I didn't even get my money back!!!

So, I plan on calling the corporate office of BK if I can find the number, and the Food & Drug Administration. Is there anyone else I can call? I found it absolutely sickening..it still makes me nauseous thinking about it! Someone needs to be fired and this needs to be told to someone...

As someone who works in the customer service industry, I just want to apologize for her really crappy behavior. I just don't understand people, in management especially, who don't have any customer service skills and a genuine passion to keep the customers happy. If you are unhappy working with people, get a different job!

Anywho, rant over. I would call the corporate office like you said. That is completely disgusting, and her attitude was even more so. Did you happen to get her name?

You need to call BK corporate and find out if it is a corporate or franchise store. Ask for the owner's information if it is a franchise store - but still explain the issue to who gives you the information.

If it was a franchise store the manager probably didn't want the owner to know, that is something an owner would throw a FIT over. You need to make sure the employee responsible is fired, as that is one of the WORST things anybody in food service can do.

Yes, I agree here. You need to get that employee fired. Corporate or owner is the only way to go. No owner will let that fly- you could make a huge deal about it and go to the local news if you really wanted. That is just disgusting and I can only imagine the other things that go on there. Usually the incidents are not isolated ones....yuck so nasty. No more BK for me! And I love their chilli.

I agree....call corporate, cause a huge scene if you have to. I worked in restaurants for a LONG time (not fast food, but its the same scenario) stuff like that should NOT happen

I'd definitely complain to some higher bk power. Im sure you'd get your money back & or at very least a bunch of free food coupons. However, im not real sure you'd even care to have those after an experience like that!

Thanks goodness you looked at it before eating! Thats the first thing i have to do when eating out. I have to check that there arent any hairs, bites, or unidentified fluids. Eww

Not true, just a stereotype about teens that are lackluster about their job. There are a lot of teens that work in fast food, but it isn't just a ho-hum job. Performance is a big part of it - especially in the big chains like McD and BK. There are a lot of easier jobs out there for teens. Restaurants like that are usually required to have mystery shops done. They also see routine, usually unannounced visits by corporate officials. The McD in the town in VA where I used to live got knocked down a serious amount of points for having fry boxes stacked in the freezer by the use by date off - the person who did them mixed October and November. That is how strict they are.

That aside, in my experience with the food industry - any employee caught tampering with food quality is fired on the spot and blacklisted in the company.

If talking to the "higher ups" doesnt work, maybe you could try calling Better Business Bureau, maybe that will get thier attention.

How gross! That reminds me of how my friend went to White Spot once, and she was eating a burger. She tasted something funny, so she pulled apart the bread. Under the bread, there was a mass of short black hair. Stuff like that really grosses me out.
