A red chin! Yes I wish for, long for a red chin! The beautiful guinea pig red kind of a red! An Irish Setter kind of a red! If we can develop blacks and whites and violets and sapphire's, why or why can't someone else think a gorgeous chin is the new "in" color!

And my second wish, chin babies that don't grow up! They are so stinking cute, cuter to me than a hamster or gerbil (sorry to those of you how are hamster and gerbil lovers!)

Those are my two chin wishes! I wish they could come true!

Haha, Laurie! That would be one funky lookin' chinnie! Wee bit scarey...Im sure v.cute though...Imagine a redsetter chin as a kit! :p

I'd LOVE a hamster but if I am worrying about Lola and Macy dying and they are both 3 atm then I don't think a hamster is for me!

My chin wish would be that there are no more fur chewers.

I am also all for a chinchilla kit that remains a kit forever. :D

I want one that gets no medical issues... ever!

But more realistically, I would love a zebra striped chin. :D

ETA: After looking at the poops that need to be swept - I want a chin that poops gold and diamonds.

Who knows, maybe we will eventually. Maybe even a tri-color chin like a beagle's colors. That would be really cool!

That may be a wish for pet owners, but honestly, I'm not sure if I see any breeders hoping for a red chinnie. This is what we're striving to stop in chins, red color. We want nice blue chins. There's nothing like taking an ebony and sitting it under show lights. If it is nice and blue in color - you're happy. If you end up with a red tinged animal (not due to oxidation, just lack of clarity and off color) then you either sell the animal as a pet, or work on the color in the animal.

I have already promised Laurie if I ever have a red chinchilla born she can have it and the parents as long as she never says where it came from LOL. We could dye one.....

My chinchilla wish is when the pass on to a better place it was never from accident, illness or injury but from a long healthy life and extreme old age, I wish kits were all born healthy and made it

I wish all new owners learned what the needed to know before getting a chinchilla

and above all I am all for chinchillas pooping gold

Ha, this is a great thread Laurie! As much as I LOVE the color red, I don't want that in a chin, that would just  scare the bejesus out of me especially at night, LOL. My wish would be that bonded chins never attack to the point of killing each other. Oh and yes, poops that turn into diamonds are huge plus!

Uh, can I have a purple chin?? Like, not a blu-kote stained chin. I want one that will STAY purple...forever.

I'd take a red chin, but then again I'm just a pet owner. In a more serious wish, it would sure be nice to come up with a chin that either 1) Never has teeth problems, hair rings, or chews fur or 2) flops over on his/her back for the monthly heath check and grooming without kicking, cacking, biting or fussing (like the dog does!). I love my cranky little fuzz-butts, but I'm *not* looking forward to tonight!

I'd like a black velvet chin with a purplish hue, a smaller, more kit sized chin. I'd also like this chin to use her litter box exlusively, so no more poo vacuuming! She would also live 50 years, so we can grow old together.

Hmm, I've seen pumpkin orange chins - they're just extremely oxidized beiges. I've also seen red-hued ebonies and orangey-red oxidized tans. I'll let you know if I ever come across a purple chinchilla!

My chin wish would be that females would no longer spray... kacking is okay...

Okay yes a zebra striped chin would be awesome as would a tricolor chin! And they idea of the poops turning to diamonds--good idea except even better would a multitude of semi precious and precious stones! Then the bottoms of their cages would be really pretty LOL!

So IF I ever do get a red chin no one will remember where it came from right???!

I would LOVE a giraffe print chin....I love their coats...gorgeous! I know that's totally a imaginary chin, but very cool!
