Would you recommend to breed a dark tan to a xdark ebony? Why yes or why no?
I would not, but I want your opinion with 'arguments'. What do you think?

It would depend on the quality of the two animals. If they are phenominal animals that complement each other then fine. But the odds of that are slim the darker the eb gene is seems the smaller/wedgier the animal. Color here is the last factor looked at when pairing up

I agree with the above statements. Clarity would be a big factor with this pair.

That wouldn't be my first choice of a pairing, but if, like Kristy said, the animals are phenomenal and complement each other I'd have no problem with the pairing. Most people that do that combination though are going for the color and neglecting the quality of the chinchilla.

That's what I think. Nice colors but....

The goal here being to produce a xdark tan (as dark as possible).

I think there are safer ways to do that. On the male side there is only a pedigree up to the grand parents, not much in my opinion when I myself do check 4 generations back for my tan breeding.
