I so miss my little shadow today! I had to give him to my brother when my husband got orders to Hawaii where he is illegal. Because clearly they are going to use their quills as spears and take over the island! At least that's how I prefer to picture it instead of people letting them loose to create chaos.
Anyways, the movers packed shadows old cuddle buddy, a hedgehog dog toy with a Santa hat, and my dh found it. After making sure it was quill free and had been washed, he threw it towards me intending to give it to our chinchilla until her cuddle buddy arrived. The dog intercepted and now it's his favorite toy! This led me to discover a hedgehog toy that has a squeaker in it that makes the real noises of a scared/ticked hedgehog, it is so sad! Of course I didn't get that one, because that is just a sad noise to hear. My dog would love hedgehogs in a mean way!
