ahh miley cyrus. personally, i enjoy listening to her. havent seen her videos and dont really buy albums anymore, but i usually keep the radio on if shes comes on. kids these days though, i dont think they really know what a role model is. im so scared to have kids when im older. no idea what the trends will be a few years from now. clothing is becoming a rare sight on young teens these days.
i felt old a few months ago. i became friends with my best friends lil sister on myspace and goodness, some of her pics and poses were a bit too racy for a 13yr old. theyre the same outfits/poses many of the teen stars are sporting. so i told my friend to keep an eye on her-shes such a smart and well mannered girl. but somehow is influence by tv. well needless to say, when he saw her page, he told his parents and now she isnt allowed to have a myspace anymore. i always thought i was the fun "big sister" figure to her, but i guess seeing that style on someone im close to really upset me.
i dont know who i would consider my role model as i was growing up. i listened to britney and the spice girls and even backstreet boys and nsync. whenever i really listen to the lyrics now, wow i had no idea there were so many sexual innuendos. parents need to make sure their kids admire people who aren't just in entertainment. but who would that be?
