Ok, I'm am SOOOO sick of this chick! My little sister posted a link to Mikey's new video on facebook, and I'm SO sick of the comments! The video is extremely tasteless and trashy, bra hanging out the shirt, super short shorts, all the grinding and just ghastly (not to mention the lack of voice talent). And all the comments of the 14 and 15 year olds and YOUNGER saying how "mature" she's gotten and how such a good role model she is. And then the one who called the video a "classy slutty". What the heck!? :hair: It disgusts me to think that these girls are actually respecting this! And some of the parents make me want to scream too! There was a mom saying it's "perfectly acceptable for teenagers to dress like that." I'd shoot my sisters if they ever tried leaving the house like that!

It's like that with almost all of the teen idols. They dress completely inappropriate, not to mention act completely inappropriate and make millions of dollars being bad role models. That's just how it goes. They end up in rehab by the time their 25 years old- repeatitively! They drive drunk and start fights. They are rude to fans half the time and act like they are God. The songs that they sing half the time are way above their heads, I don't think they even understand what they are singing about half the time- sex, money, boys, girls, relationships. You know what I mean,I'm sure. I guess it has always been like that. I think the teens like listening to it because it makes them feel older because they are listening to songs that discuss adult issues. I think some of them have talent, but they need to come back to the music industry when they can act appropriately.

Im not sure how she dresses in public but maybe in the videos that what she is told she has to where as part of her contract. Im sure stars dont get to pick out their own clothes, im sure they are told what to where and thats part of their job and getting paid.

I know exactly how you feel Ash. Bells is only 6 and loves her!!! Thank God she mostly only watches Hannah Montana where Miley isn't dressed like a hooker but there are times she sees her music videos on tv or whatever. Our girls need better role models

This is why we don't like her - in person it's torture to listen to her voice. Not entirely sure what type of sound stage she has to be on to record, but it's an expensive one.

LOL guido. i'm ready to shoot my sisters when they listen to her. and you know what? i don't care if it's in the contract or not, i'd be putting my foot down and saying "screw you. i wear what i want or no video." there are plenty other stars who DON'T dress like skank to sell their music.

Every time she performs on AI, those contestants must be thinking WTF????? She's got a recording contract, a TV show, and movies and I have to compete on AI? She is horrible live. It makes my head hurt listening to her.

Seriously Tara - I would love to know where she records too, because if we could find out, we could ALL be stars.

I hate how everyone thinks she is such an acceptable role models for little kids because she is on the Disney channel. I can't stand her, her stupid music, her annoying voice, or anything about her. Obviously I haven't seen the video, but I wouldn't doubt she minded wearing the slutty clothes--have you seen what she wears casually? I'm sure some of you have seen the pictures of her exposing her bra, or of her in the shower (clothed), that she herself posted. And she's dating a 20-something underwear model. She is not someone that kids should be looking up to. It's no wonder so many little girls are so slutty these days! It's absolutely disgusting.

Little girls dress very slutty. I hate that. Do you remember back in the early 90s when the HUGE t-shirt and leggings were the style? I actually miss that because it was so not slutty and everyone was clothed.

Ditto. I can't believe how parents let their kids dress like this. My favorite comment though was someone said "she's ok to dress like that, she's a christian so she's not slutty"

Wow, that's back in style? When I was growing up, in the 90's, I loved wearing leggings and the long sweaters. Now I wear tunics and leggings... I guess that's the same, but more in this decade.

And yeah, it is hot here, and I see plenty of little girls waiting at the bus stop on my way to class in the morning and it just makes me wonder what their parents are thinking. They are obviously buying the clothes for them, and let them walk out of the house looking like they do. I just don't get it.

Or, and I must add. The kids that are around 8-13 who try to act like they are 16 or 17 and walk into walmart and cus, walk with their pants around their knees (don't you just want to trip them and see how long it takes them to get up?) and are just so rude to people. How are parents raising their kids now? uhg. It makes me crazy. And more and more kids are starting to get into that "Cholo" gang thing in my area. It's stupid.

Its pretty cold here already, with lows below freezing. But yeah, it's the hoodie sweaters that go right above the knee and leggings. I think they are from Old Navy.
I do agree girls need to cover up. Especially at such young ages. And now you see schools proactively combating the "low rise" jeans and underwear that shows. And in Bella and Nicks school they aren't even allowed to wear Halloween costumes because they can be either too scary or too revealing.

It is really sad, I was trying to think about one person that kids have to look up to now a days, and there is no one! I think Miley annoys me more than anyone else, she just is so stupid, a very ugly girl, and so full of herself, I really don't like her.

I can think of one! Taylor Swift *hides from Peggy* But seriously. She doesn't use her body to sell her music, and she's only just turned I think it's 18? That's part of why I like country so much. While there's a few singers who DO flaunt their bodies to help sell, there are many who don't and actually do it off talent alone, and manage to do pretty darn well for themselves.

I amazes me how people still think Disney is this great influence for their children! The only star who has roots in Disney that can actually sing is Christina Aguilera. And that has nothing to do with Disney! (I am not saying that she is a great role model, just that she has talent)

But what does Disney actually teach our children?? That women can do anything as long as they remember that they are of a lower status and will always in the end need a man to "rescue her," even people from different cultures believe and think just like Americans (otherwise they're the villians), and animal cruelty is hilarious (have you ever actually watched Steamboat Willy??)

I do agree with you though Ash. She's so white bread she makes me yawn. Her videos are clean. Her songs are G rated. If a kid had to pick a roll model, they could do worse. Unfortunately, I just don't think she's very talented. Then again, I'm not into teen angst and bubble gum pop, so that could have something to do with it.

haha peggy. i could name other stars from country too who are good influences, and not all of them are as old and senile as you *ducks*. miranda lambert, for one. i've yet to see a video where she's "whorish". but anyway, yeah i'm definitely fed up with miley. she makes me want to puke.
