named after Eros, God of Love aka the Greek Cupid. I learned later that he's meant to be the God of  erotic love, and the word erotic comes from his name. but he knew his name by then and it was too late. I just thought it was sweet and now it's weird 😂

• 1.5 years old

• rehomed by someone who never cleaned his cage in any meaningful way, and didn't even try to get the calcium buildup off the shelves from his pee. 😑

• he likes little bits of graham crackers, sweet potato puffs baby cereal, and apple and hay bites shaped like hearts 💛

• he plays with my dog (who's a giant baby softy, who is so gentle even with my dwarf hamsters. he's been around rodents since he was 10 weeks old, and became besties with my guinea pigs immediately) and will bounce off the walls and doors when he has the zoomies.

• he alarm barks in his sleep, in his house in the middle of the day. he also makes adorable squeaks when he's happy or excited about something.

• he's perfect besides chewing everything made of paper or cardboard or wood (I know it's what they do, but homie has so many things to chew. why my late moms jewelry box?!) and the dreaded, nightmarish cage biting. oh and he refuses to cuddle. at all. no holding unless he chooses. he has to jump into your arms or else it ain't happening.

That face! I know what you mean. Cuddling on his own terms? Sounds familiar.:)

I'm not sure you are aware, but in case you aren't unfortunately a lot of what you are feeding (graham crackers, sweet potato puffs baby cereal, and apple) as well as allowing your dog to interact with the chin is not safe. Also paper and cardboard are not really safe either, most chins just chew and shred it but if he swallows it it can cause a gut blockages. It's your chin though.

Unfortunately a lot of what you find on online sites, books, and even from most vets is outdated or just plain wrong care info for chins.
