Lyda FINALLY had her babies. I thought that maybe she would just hold them in and let them live their lives inside. Some mamas have a hard time letting go, I suppose.
These little fuzzies are about five hours old in the pictures. Don't they look like they really overcooked? They aren't huge but they are moving around better than the average newborn bubs for sure.
They were 62 and 55 grams...just slightly larger than average. But they are smart and they are actually not too jumpy or grumpy. Needless to say, I snuggled them already for quite awhile and then told them how adorably perfect they are. Medium ebonies are one of my favorites because I can see any red in their fur when they are older...it makes it easier to evaluate and I can decide if I want to use them for breeding for darker ebs.
In one of the pictures the larger baby can be seen trying to make a break for it to hide in my sweater. She's five hours old and she's already understanding how to do that? While she's being held? Something is up here...
They're going to be so precious once they fluff up a bit more!
