male hedgie...stuff

so mr.scrubbles has been doing something...weird. hes 2.5 years old and i've never seen this before. he seems to have a clear liquid on his male parts everytime i hold him now. now i know its most likely semen but is this normal? it doesn't appear when i hold him, its like always there and even his bedding sticks to it! the first night i noticed it (2-3 nights ago) he walked across my shirt and there was a clear, a little bloody "goopy" stuff on my shirt. it wasn't poop so i'm assuming its from there. there hasn't been blood since, its just been clear and its just a little bit that just is...there. anyone know whats going on?

I find as the boys age and/or become less mobile they often spend more time amusing themselves. Picking up a slightly wet boy in the evening is quite normal. What isn't normal is there being a bit of blood in it. If it doesn't happen again it may be that he was a bit over exuberant in his boy time but it could also mean he has an infection in either his reproduction system or urinary. Because you found blood, it probably would be a good idea to speak with the vet.

yeah after i wrote this, i googled it some more and found someone had asked something like this. they said the blood was probably from what you said. it hasn't happened since, though so i may call the vet but def if it happens again he is gonna go see her. thank you =) you always answer all my hedgie questions lol
