Just wanted to share my excitement. I have had Thunder for about 2 months now. He is a 7 year old retired breeder who never had a playtime before. Although I got him because he was so cuddly with the breeder he obviously wasn't bonded to me. Been taking him for playtime for a while now but usually have to catch him in his cage. At first he was kinda stiff during playtimes. Now he runs and bounces off walls and is more confident in his jumps. He climbs up me during playtime and always lets me pet and hold him. Last 2 nights when he saw me getting the gate out i use for playtime, he came by the door to his cage to wait for me. Then instead of me having to take 15 min to try to pick him up... he actually leaped onto my shoulder so i could take him for playtime. Then when he wanted back in his cage he came over to me again to pick him up and put him back . I was so excited and to me it seemed like a huge breakthru in trust . I couldn't believe how good something so simple could make me feel .
