MACalicious-- Need some help

So I LOVE my my new Mac lap top and am still learning new things every day.. BUT! I have a question.. Why does my iTunes keep opening up when Im not asking it to. I dont have an iTunes account and when I try to close it and take it out of my dock it just stays.

What can I do?

Right click, quit (or force quit) drag out of dock. Enjoy the poof as it explodes.

It may be set to your default audio for webpages or something. Or if you have an ipod/iphone plugged in it will "rediscover" it every time it wakes up. Very annoying.

I dont do iPod or iAnything else.. GAG.. And I did the Quit and Force Quit.. Found out that it was asking me to update it when I had 4 other windows open and the alert was hiding in the back..

Sneaky buggars, those update windows. You can turn off the auto update for iTunes in Preferences, General Tab - it's a check box on the bottom. It will harass you less then. I refuse to update to 10, I don't like the interface.

Thanks! Ill check it out.. I dont think I will notice a difference however since I have never used iTunes in the past.
