lonely chin

Hi there, I am new to this site but have 3 chins, 2 males (father and son) and one female (mother). The two boys live in one cage together and mum is on her own although the cages are side by side. Coco, our female looks a little lonely and we were wondering if introducing a young female to keep her company would be a good idea. Any help would be appreciated.

You could try. Keep in mind that it may not work out and then you would have two females in separate cages. Make sure that you quarantine for 30 days. That means separate cages, in different rooms of the house and washing your hands when going from new chinchilla to any of the others or vice versa. During the quarantine period read up on introduction methods. Feel free to ask about any questions you may have.
