Did anybody else have this growing up? I've recently become a little obsessed with tracking down the same original 1992 Hasbro Kitty Surprise I had when I was little. Is that weird?

This is the exact same one I had, right down to the number & color of the kittens.

I seem to recall they made Puppy Surprise & Pony Surprise too. I wish I had hung on to my old toys now :(

I had a puppy one. I didn't keep mine because I destroyed everything I liked to do hair and makeup. On everything. I do wish I knew better, and still had them, in one piece. Very cute.

I had a kitty surprise. In retrospect though, its kinda a weird toy. The belly has velco that opens so you can give momma cat a cesarean and discover how many kittens she has. I still loved that toy!

I remember the hard plastic faces and beanie bodies, and how all the faces were different. I had a cat and dog one, I believe. I can still remember that odd plastic smell of the face.

omg I had those cats and dogs! Hahaha I totally forgot about them! I remember getting excited to see how many babies you ended up with lol!

I love looking for toys I had as a kid. I just bought some toys at a garage sale that I played with at my grandma's house when I was little. They're made by Tupperware and are called Zoo-it yourself animals since their bodies come apart and you can put them back together. They're pretty old (older than I am) but my grandma had them so I bought them for memories and for when I have kids.

There's a couple other toys I'd like to get sometime that I had as a kid. I think it's fun to reminisce.

I remember seeing the commercials for these. I think someone gave my sister a dog one that had two puppies.

I love old toys. My mom recently bought two pull string dolls on ebay. We have a picture of my mom and her sister when my mom was about 5 or 6 years old. In the pic, mom is holding her Baby Secret (she whispers...loudly) and my aunt is holding her Baby See-and-Say (she talks and her eyes move). Apparently my mom's friend thought my aunt's doll was creepy and she poked her eyes out. Mom is going to give the one she found on ebay to my aunt as a replacement for the one her friend ruined so many years ago. Both dolls still work and have the same dresses that they were wearing in the picture. Personally, I think both dolls are creepy...they remind me of Chucky. They say weird things like "Wouldn't it be neat if you were a doll like me?" and "I can see in the dark" (which sometimes sounds like 'I can pee in the dark'). I think if I had received one as a kid, it would have went in the closet and stayed there.

They're still neat to look at now though....I like the pull string technology better than the battery operated stuff you see today...it lasts longer.

Ahaha!! Now that you say it, I do remember it, and I had one as well, but I do not recall the number of kittens mine had!

I think I somehow ended up with two kittens, but the mom was long gone.

Probably picked it up at a yard sale.
