Now I am just trying to have more information in my brain and do not foresee this happening, but accidents happen and I want to be prepared. Ok so say a chin is running around or gets loose, jumps in the toilet or water bucket, or even a shower that was recently used? Just so I clear my name, I always supervise her, and be sure I know where she is during her playtime, but if someone else lets her out when I am not home or something I have to know. What needs to happen? Air dry? dust baths and when or how much??

I'm moving this to a more appropriate forum, since this isn't an emergency, but just a general question. :)

If your chin gets wet from a clean source, i.e., getting in the shower, dry off as much as you can with a towel (gently blotting dry, not rubbing, or you'll pull the fur out), then use a blow drier on the cool setting and start drying. Most chins have very dense fur, so be prepared to be at this for a while.

Last summer, Gizmo jumped into the toilet while I was cleaning his carrier. It was a simple Jump-Plop into the toilet. Granted only his feetsies and butt got wet so I sat with a towel and dried...let him run around...towel dry....repeat. It wasn't tedious, but I would imagine that if any chin were to get wet from a clean source, like Tunes said, you would basically just need to be patient at drying.

As for an unclean source...I dont even want to think about that lol
