Jeans?!?

I'm having a jeans problem. lol

I'm in need of some new jeans. Walmart doesn't have any my size other than the few pairs I've already bought.
I wear size 9 in Junior but short. As bad as I hate paying $30 for a pair of jeans it looks like I'm going to have too.
The closest JCPennys and Goodies have both shut down in the last year

Anyone know of a fairly inexpensive place to buy jeans? Even better if I can buy online since I live in a very small town that has just about nothing. lol

Have you ever tried clearance at alloy.com? I have always purchased my clothes from them because they carry them in tall, but most of their pants I get are $50+ because the talls never end up on clearance! BTW - their clothes run a bit small because they're junior sizes. For instance, I wear a 20 anywhere I buy my clothes, but I wear a 23 in their jeans.

Sometimes Old Navy has sales on jeans. They carry tall and short jeans. They seem to really size the jeans to be larger than the size you are wanting. I want 4s there and have to get 2s so they don't fall off my hips.

Other than that... Do you have any outlet stores near you? There's a great Levi's outlet store up the road 90 minutes from me...they have all the sizes there.

I second Old Navy jeans, it is pretty easy to get coupons from them for 15% or more and their jeans aren't that costly anyway. And Susan is right about the sizing, order at least a size down because they run big. I am 5'2 and have tried their petite jeans and regular. I feel like the petite are too short once I wash them but I am really picky about my jeans, if I cross my legs and you can see my socks then the jeans are too short. So I normally buy the regular ones and once I wash them (in hot water) and put on shoes they are a good length on me.

Old Navy or try Kohls during sale time. I have the opposite problem from yours (I take a 14 at the waist, an 18-20 to get the waist over my massive hips/butt, and need a 29-30" inseam, which puts me right between average and tall) but managed to find a style in Lee and in Levi's that fit. The trick is getting coupons and Kohl's Cash to get them down to a reasonable price ($20 or so).

@Susan, I'll have to keep a watch out for Old Navy. I don't know of any outlet stores. I found a Peebles sorta near me. In Tennessee, but its the closests one I could find so I'm going to check it out.

@Suzi, I think we're about the same height. I'm just a tad shorter I believe. I need an inseam of 28.

I gave up on jeans and switched to skirts a long time ago. There's far too much to worry about when finding jeans that fit. With skirts, if they stay up on the waist they'll do.

I used to work at Kohl's- we had 9 short jeans- in fact we had a lot because the size seemed to be pretty popular. Almost everything is on sale there (always) and most of the jeans are under $40. Catch them on a power hour sale and some jeans are $15-20.

This pair is a size 18 which is my usual "Well, to get it over my booty..." compromise size. There's a little bit of spandex in it, but they don't fit like a Speedo bathing suit.
