Is this normal?

The baby Chin I have been handfeeding always has a really hard belly, he is eating, peeing and pooping regulary, and gaining 2-3 grams a day, and seems normal but his belly does seem a bit bloated.

I agree. They tend to have slightly distended bellies especially after they eat. A few times I have been a little surprised at how full those little bellies will be after nursing under mama for a few hours.

I think you're doing great with the baby. You could get some simethicone baby gas drops and give him a bit if you are concerned about his belly feeling hard. It could be a little gas, but he's producing droppings so it hasn't gotten too bad.

I wish that I could hold him and see how he feels! Plus I like holding baby chins...

I always get paraniod when I start handfeeding because their bellies do feel a bit bloated. Each time I call my mom so she can remind me about the last time I called her......
