Is this normal???

I took a picture of one of my males tonight because my girlfriend and I are curious about something. We both have noticed these two little, what look like, nobs of skin on his testicles. (pointing up in the picture) Is this what his testicles are supposed to look like? And yes we're also wondering if they are normally this big???

It would appear your chin has just reached his manhood. He's normal. It does catch one off guard when you are only used to the younger males, though, huh?

We won't talk about my experiences when Sprink hit his manhood.

Sorry, if Im the odd one out here but I just don't think that looks normal.

I have seen many young males come into the rescue and none of them have looked like that when they are developing or have reached 1 year of age. I think it looks swollen.

Could you post another pic?


I had one rescue recently get put down because his testicular area and other spots along the underside of his body developed body-fluid filled lumps that really swelled up and he was diagnosed with severe liver failure. This pic just brought back the bad memories.

I don't think they look big at all--Wesley's are much larger. I think the size varies as in human men as well.

Lol, it does seem perfectly normal to me as well, all my males look like that.

Okay, I don't know a nice way to say this but I wonder if those 'points' you are seeing on the top of his testicles are just bits of skin. Might we say maybe he is experiencing "shrinkage" and those points of skin are just extra skin for when he is more dropped?

LOL that view is not uncommon to see here. It was just the picture sent by the OP from that angle looked unusual.

Oh, man, that made me laugh out loud!!!

I'll never forget what Dr. Fitzgerald said when I went to pick up The Snuggler after having him neutered -- "Man, that little guy had some giant 'nads!!!"

That's the thing I miss most with 2 neutered males -- seeing those LPCBs hanging off the shelves!!!

They are very, very noticable on my ex. dark eb. Like...I don't know if he just has big bits, or if it's the nice contrast between pink or black, but they are always OUT THERE.

I have had males with large testes and some with smaller testes. The chin in the OP's picture just looks like a very well endowed male to me.

I'll try to explain my bizarre thought processes here.

When I received the rescue male who had the liver failure - I held him up just like the in the pic from the OP. So keep that view in mind - as lovely as it is. Looking at the testicular area like that makes the area look flat and puffy. Unlike Silverrose's picture, where from that angle you can see big "dingle berries".

So this male I had looked like that because that area was very swollen - you couldn't even tell where his testicles might be amongst all the puss and body fluids. I wish I had taken a picture to post it here so people can see what I am talking about and note similarities/differences. But the swelling was intense. So, I apologize - the consensus is that he is a normal fella.
