The only type of hay my one chin seems interested in eating is Oxbows Orchard Grass hay so I've just been giving that to her lately in place of Timothy Hay. Is this okay to do forever or should I try to get her to eat more Timothy Hay? She eats Manna Pro Show food.

hay

i was going to post this same question! im wondering the same thing except now theyre eating more of the oxbow timothy hay cubes instead of loose hay. my girls werent eating any of the oxbow loose timothy hay anymore and it was all stems and all going to waste and getting thrown on the bedding, but they go crazy for the orchard grass and timothy cubes. is this ok to do for their teeth or do they need the stems? also forgot to add they eat oxbow chinchilla deluxe

Yes it's fine, any grass hay is fine to give. Timothy is generally recommended the most because it's usually the easiest to find. I mix orchard grass in with timmy hay and feed it in place of timmy hay some days.

Yes, Idgie eats just "grass hay", as the farmer by me calls it. I suspect that it is orchard grass, but it is a grass hay, so all is good.
