Since Trixie and I are new here, I thought I would tell you a little about her, and share some pictures.
As I mentioned in my own intro, she is a pretty little grey 4 year old . She loves to have her ears an chin rubbed and scratched. She also seems to enjoy television..especially if there is alot of sparkles, color or music. She loves Dancing With the Stars.
We have a designated chin playroom. I try to get her out every other evening. I keep her dustbath in there, as well as many places to run, jump and hide. Her two favorite hiding spots are under the chair, and inside one of those plastic igloos. The igloo used to belong to my guinea pig, Scooter, who passed over the bridge before we got Trixie.
She, of course loves to jump. I am including a picture of her jumping at the mirror. She has not yet figured she is not Alice..and will n ot go through the looking glass.
She is not really cuddly, but at times will sit on my shoulder and peep into my ear. Her favorite treat is dried banana.
In the third picture she is a very unhappy chin. She does not mind her carrier when sh is going into her playroom. She DOES mind when she is confined there during cage cleaning time. :hair:

Nice pictures! Chins are just like children, aren't they? Very demanding and they let us know what they do and don't like. And we absolutely adore our chins and slave for them!! Who can resist those little balls of fluff?! Say no to Trixie...I say not :)

I was wondering if either people with chins named Trixie were Trixie Beldon fans? I wanted to name our first chin Trixie.

Well, I read Trixie Belden as a kid. But it was actually my husband who named her. He thought she whould be full of tricks.

LOL, has she lived up to that name? Welcome to both you and Trixie. She's a cutie pie, I love the mirror picture.

Yes she has. Shealways seems to come up with new cute things to beg treats or get attention.

I love the pic of Trixie as she ricochets off the mirror, great shot!

Thanks. It took a lot of patience, and some bad shots to get the picture. I can usually tell when she is going to do a jump by the way she runs. So I basically had the camera focised on the mirror, and waited.

VERY cute girl, and awesome mirror pic!

Just wanted to comment on the banana piece. Fruits, especially dried, aren't good treat options, as they can cause issues in the gut.

Aww what a cute chinnie ! Love the mirror pic also ! LOL....too cute & funny !
Wish you the best and welcome to Chins & Hedgies !

Hmm..different info from what I had learned before. She seems OK, but I will back off on them. Thanks.

There's a few threads in the diet/nutrition section about fruits and veggies and such, and while some people feed them with no issues, many of us decide to err on the side of caution, as we've seen that they can do worse rather than good.

I will look at the food area tomorrow (going to bed soon). I like looking at several sources for god and bad foods. I ave had Trixie all her life, but I am still learning things.
