I am wondering if three males can live peacefully together? I remember reading somewhere that 2 males can but 3 can cause a problem, but I can't seem to find that anywhere now.

Right now I have 2 bonded 3 year old chins, and a single 6 month old chin, all males all in the same room and cages close(about a foot apart). I have done play time with the young one and the least dominant older one, but not all of them and just want to know that it may work to have 3 living together if they get along.

Some people have had it work, while other times they fight. What you risk with an already established pair is that they can start fighting with each other once you try to introduce another chin into their pairing. So then you can end up with 3 singletons.

Also, I know some people have had issues where the 3 got along fine for a while but then one day they turned on each other.

So you can try it, but it really is up to you, much like any chin pairing.
