Hello Everyone...We (well, it's my kiddo's really) are the new owners of 2 rescue chins.... we have Zero a papered, pretty, funny, active, loveable guy of about 2.5 years old...just beautiful...kind of a whitish violet with a bit of very light grey...gorgeous! and a very very sweet old soul chin named Moosaby...a standard grey, but absolutely cuddly for a chin and about 3. Both are in separate cages, across the room from each other, and we hope to have then next to each other in a couple of weeks...(i understand we have to do the moving slowly). One is from a chin rescue in Rio Linda, and one is a rescue from Craigslist. We are enjoying them quite a bit. We are presently establishing a schedule for them and letting them learn that they can trust us. Having such distinct personalities, i won't be picking a favorite any time... my DS is responsible for Zero, and my DD is responsible for Moosaby, with oversight provided by mom. Both Chins seem ok with our little fluff monster, Coty, a miniature Spitz. He is enjoying smelling them and letting them know he is there. I am enjoying the company when I am downstairs sewing, too. Ours is an upstairs house, with a downstairs walkout basement...nice and naturally cool down there for them...rarely gets above 75 even in the Sacramento summer. They will be able to be upstairs with us when it becomes cooler outside... I've been lurking and enjoying all the posts...and thought i should intro myself. Lisa

Hi Lisa! Welcome! It sounds like you know what you are doing, but don't hesitate to ask any questions if a concern comes up. And we really would like to meet your babies!

Thanks for the Welcome! In answer to your questions, yes, I received one of the rescue's from Chins to go, Moosaby. He is just the sweeties little guy...love him! He is a racer, he is so quick! The other was from Craigslist...a young man without a home was looking for a home for his chin...so, while neither were in dire circumstances...both are "rehomed" with me. The kids are the primary caretaker, and I get the cuddle time! :)

I am not sure I know exactly what I am doing...but i have lurked here enough and done quite a big of research to know a little...probably just enough to get me in trouble. We are slowly changing their food to oxbow...they do not get sweetened treats, just, wholeorganic rolled oat, and gluten-free :).

I am glad to have this forum to be able to find answers and companionship about the little chiny's.

I have pix of the little boys, and have no idea how to put them anywhere on this forum... :( i am somewhat illiterate on the computer!
