yes, i've gone over that list quite a few times to ensure what i'm putting in Rhino's cage is safe. one item not on that list that is safe for chins is coconut, and i have seen a number of toys made with coconut shell pieces, and i was wondering on the coconut fibers that the bag is made of in the toy i linked recently would be ok.

I read somewhere that its the white of a coconut that the chins cant have, my chins love coco rope :)

with popsicle stick type toys, i keep a close eye on them and remove any sharp or splintery edges/pieces asap, and with me being a stay at home mom, i'm able to spend lots of time keeping an eye on things. Rhino really likes popsicle sticks so i do try to have at least one item in his cage that has them on/in it.

Just fyi the injury happens when they are chewing, not usually from the splinters on the bottom of the cage. I have had a chin cut his mouth on a popsicle stick before and had to handfeed for a couple days because it bothered him when he ate. I also had another cut his lip. Mine loved them too but I stopped giving them after that ordeal.
