After some major soul-searching and lots of other things, I am back! I missed all of you too much, and had to have you back in my life. I realized how much you all mean to me, and think I actually need you.
The chins are doing great, we had the most amazing white ebony baby born, I will get pictures today hopefully. When he was born the first thing I wanted to do was post pictures of him on the forum. Then I knew I had to come back
Paco the moluccan is doing great, he is such a lover and has helped me through these hard times. He is so funny and sweet, and I don't know how I would have done this without him. He is the only reason I take my hurting body out of bed each morning- if he does not get his morning oatmeal he will let me know he is not too happy with me!
While I was gone my Nana, my best friend, she basically raised me, died. My cousin tried to kill himself again, and this time messed up his liver. He may need a transplant.
I was just diagnosed with melanoma last week, and am very scared. Actually, when I went home to MN for the funeral of my grandmother, my family noticed the mole and was very concerned. They said I need to get it checked, so for some reason I did. I would have never ever gone if my family did not force me to, so in some way, my grandmother saved my life. If she had not passed, I would have never even seen the mole. It is on the back of my arm about 6" down from my shoulder, where you cannot see.
The good news is, I just found out yesterday, that my PET scan and blood work are negative, so hopefully it has not spread. The doctor is concerned about my breast lumps, so I also have to meet with a breast surgeon this week.
I meet with an oncologist today for a second opinion and a plastic surgeon on Friday to remove the rest of the mole, that the first doctor did not take off. Then I will know what stage I am in since they cut the melanoma in half and do not know how deep it is yet. I am still also dealing with the nerve pain, but have to put that on hold until I figure out what is next with the melanoma. God has given me a peace about it though, so I hope that is good news.
I am very glad to be back and am excited to read all the posts I missed. I can't wait to see the chins again, I missed seeing the furry gang!
