Yes I am bored at work today.

Last night my fiance' asked me if I won the lottery what would I do with the money??

I didnt even ask him what the prize was, but my answer:

I would build an extension on the house, so I could have one room JUST for the chinchillas and then I would get a few more!

He just looked at me like I was NUTZ................

Your not nuts, although my husband did say that ALL of us on this forum were a little crazy, lol, but you'll also need someone who comes in to clean all the cages, poop and flying hay!

I'd get a chin room then build a custom cage the size of the room like 25 feet by 25 feet by 10 feet!!! the instead of her coming out for playtime i would go in!

Depending on how much $$$ I won would depend on what I'd do with it but if let's say I even won half a million or less, I'd pay off two mortgages (house & condo), buy myself a nice car and my husband a nice van, splurge on the kids, build a bigger chin room and I'd start up a chinchilla rescue/foundation but if that didn't happen then I'd donate to a chinchilla rescue of my choice. I've got lots more that I'd do but I've only got half a million to spend, lol!

If I won the lottery, as I have stated to my family for years, I would take in all animals that needed rescue. I'm such an animal nut, and I just can't do enough for them now with only one parent working. And if I can dream really big, the rescue would be for both domesticated and wild animals. Of course, the animals I have already, including my chin, would be totally spoiled!

1) pay off my 130 grand in student loans
2) pay off my growing medical bills
3) buy a car that is from this decade
4) buy a ranch so I can have 1000 chinchillas
5) get a few horses, capybara, viscacha, 3 little pigs, and pygmy goats
6) get a few angora chinchillas
7) buy my parents and parents in law a new house/car
8) spend my life doing volunteer work and chins, and maybe an ice cream shop (;-) Thanks Rick!)

:yuck:

I'm suddenly very thankful for my 40 grand... that's more than my house cost!

Yeah, I am starting to think law school was a huge waste of time and money! I am so stressed because I hate my job, but know darn well I cannot quit with those loans on my back. I keep telling myself I am lucky to have a job at all, and I am grateful, I just wish I had a boss that did not belittle me and make me feel like a piece of poo. Actually, a poo probably feels better than me! It sucks to get yelled at and called stupid after spending 20 years of my life in school and graduating law school early! No one should have to deal with that, but I bet most people do.

That amount only solidified my decision not to pursue law school like I had once considering doing!
It sucks that you aren't loving what you're doing after putting so much time and money into it but hopefully you'll find a job that you love soon.

I guess it would depend on how big a lottery LOL! If we're talking MILLIONS then:
I would offer Gerard Butler money to a charity of his choice if he would have a lunch date (or more nudge, nudge) with my dear friend Peggy!
I would do the same with Alex O'Loughlin, except he would get stuck with me!
I would go to Tiffany's and buy something without asking how much!
I would visit my friends: Sasha in Canada, Amanda in New Zealand, Mae in Spain and then travel the US to visit my "stateside" CnH friends.
I would donate a million dollars to breast cancer research and challenge all the big stars, sports, music and movies to do the same.
I would finally get that old 60's ish cadillac convertible I want!
I would have compound built for my whole family to live on, but not too "too" close to mom LOL! And it would have chin barn for tons of chins!!!!
I would buy EVERY single book on my wishlist at Amazon.com! Maybe I'd even buy a Barnes and Noble and used book store so I could read forever!!!!!

I probably would want to figure out how to have a body transplant. Just a skinny body with my same head, hands and feet.

And, of course, I would visit Graceland!

If I were to win the lottery I'd do the following....

Pay off all my debts
Sell the house we are currently in, and get some property and move to Oregon along the Columbia River.
Have a building built for my chinchillas AND my birds, and then of course build a chicken coop, barn, and have a log house custom built for my family by my Dad.
Put the rest aside and hopefully live off the interest.

1. Pay off $18k in school loans
2. Buy a house with a ton of land on the water in Tennessee
3. Buy some horses
4. Build an amazing chin building
5. Invest
6. Buy my mom a new car
7. Buy a boat
8. Start a cupcake business
9. Vacation around the world
10. Donate to charity and volunteer
