So, Carmen liked me, but she was a biter for quite a while. Huffing when I'd move (like taking off a jacket). But I went to PetSmart To buy a new cat bed for her to burrow beneath, and bought some mealies while I was there.

I wasn't sure how she'd take to those terrifying looking worms, but I've heard many good things about them. On the way home, I give her one, and suddenly, she transformed into this sweet little angel that doesn't bite me or huff when I move.

Thank you terrifying worm!

My hedgies seem to prefer crickets to mealworms. Are they just silly, or do other people have odd hedgies like me? Only 2 of mine like mealworms, and all but one like crickets.

iv had Lulu for over a month now, and she will NOT eat any bugs...
haha the closest she has goten to eating one is picking it up, spiting it out and then steping on it :neener:
silly hedgies!

Cuda once sat on a mealworm...

Haha... Satin's done that too. Too many times to count. And her little sniffer is working a mile a minute trying to figure out where those mealies went. It's like she runs to them, overshoots so they're under her, then she gets all confused.

Hedgiedaddy and I laugh and say "hedige, they're right under you; you're sitting on them." We point... she doesn't get them. Poor girl seems not to have top notch hunting instincts.

The crickets scare me. I am very afraid of bugs, but mealies don't bother me too much.
=w=

The crickets looked like little soul eating demons in a plastic container!
