I will get getting $400.00 a month i'm babysitting my brothers kids during the day yayay.

Excellent. Make sure to check out the self-employment taxes for MI and the IRS.
For the feds, the self-employment tax comes into play if you earn $400 or more during the year in a job like that (ie, one that doesn't deduct social security, medicare, and taxes from your paycheck). I think MI follows the feds lead.

Congrats! How many kids and what ages are they?

there are two Alissa is 6 will be 7 june 13th and Joshua is 3 will be 4 june 24th.

This could be the answer to a lot of your needs!!

You were talking about having kids...
Well, this could be your practice run! You get the kids without the financial stress of having to provide for them!

And of course, you were talking about financial issues, and a job clears that right up!
Congrats!!!

Congrats and it seem a good job for you like Jeanette said. You said you want kids, so it will give you a bit of a "practice run".

when Alissa was born i babysat her for the first whole year of her life.

Are you CPR certified? Might wanna take a course if not. Most parents like it when you know extra courses that could save their child's life if needed.

Congrats on the job! And I agree, you'll have to pay for self employment taxes since you don't have a job deducting the social security and all that from your income. You can always talk to a tax professional if you need help.

i'm glad it's my brother that i'm babysitting for. than i don't have to deal with ppl i don't know.

I'm glad you've found a good job with people you know! Like they said, CPR and first aid are always good things to have in case of an emergency, especially since paramedics can't always get there right away and time is of the essence in emergency situations. I can tell you love those kids and you want to do the best for them, and that is certainly one way to do it!

It is great news about your job! Congrats! :)

well i don't have to worry about the job right now my brother got laid off for a little bit we're not sure how long so.

Congrats! What a great job! I agree with the CPR class. When I babysat a lot, I took a CPR class and a general babysitting class that taught all sorts of stuff. The CPR helped a lot, because I didn't realize a baby needs different CPR than an adult, and also you do things differently if they are choking, hurt, etc. Definitely worth the day or so it took to take the class! Plus you get a card and are certified which is just a good thing in general. Let us know how it all works out!

i won't be taking CPR i'm not paying for it and what are the chances that someone would need it. thanks for the idea thought.
