Is humidity bad for chinchillas, even if it's cold?

It makes their fur nasty as heck. Even with frequent dust baths, it'll make their fur greasy appearing, and I would imagine it's not really comfortable for them when it's like that.
I'm not sure that it's "bad" per se, but I notice when the humidity is up in the barn in the winter it feels uncomfortable for me (dehumidifier full), and I'm usually jacketless and in short sleeves.
