My girl Pumpkin was diagnosed with Coccida a few days ago. She is on bene bac and an antibiotic. I have been monitoring her poos very closely and cleaning her cage daily. Today while spot cleaning I noticed a poo that was just way out of proportion from the others, I mean this thing was huge. Is this normal or should I be concerned . I took a photo next to her normal poos as comparison .

Could the poop have originally been normal sized but squishy? If the chin stepped on it it might look bigger than it really is. Both of the poos in the picture look a bit wetter to me than they ought to be.

Although I'm not familiar with coccida or treatment, however I have seen some massive poop every now and again with my girls I wouldn't be overly concerned personally about larger size.. However that poop looks wet and soft/smooshy are all her poops soft like that?
That concerns me more than the size seems like her gut is certainly upset
You can try adding acidophilus over her food 4 hours after antibiotics (if given at same time the antibiotics will kill the probiotics) or hand feed probiotics (personally I love LifeLine for this!)

Hopefully other members more familiar with coccida will jump on here :)

She's being treated for it, so I wouldn't worry too much. The poops are formed, meaning they aren't liquidy and shapeless. Watch her over the next couple of days, you should see significant improvement very shortly.

There are some antibiotics that work wonderfully for coccidia. Just give it a little time and you will see improvement. Definitely give probiotics because they will help to keep the chin's immune system going by repopulating beneficial bacteria and help crowd out any bad bacteria.

Keep us posted on how she's doing. What antibiotic did the vet give her?

Her poos are very wet but the doctor said that was normal for her condition . Her antibiotic is called tmp ,that's what the bottle says .
