I need smome advice on how to baby proof our ferret nation cage.I had put a wire mesh half way up the sides but the little stinker still got out!first I thought I just needed to fasten any spot that seemed like it can squeeze through but then today we saw the baby climb the mesh!any suggestions?

Do you still have the shelves that came with the cage? If it's a 142, could you put them both across the cage at the height that the mesh goes to? That way the baby can't climb any higher since the shelf is now like the ceiling.

I don't have FN cages, so I'm not sure if this is possible, it was just an idea.

I didn't think of that I'll try it thanks;)I had used the ramps and put those along the 2 sides thinking that it can't climb that but the other side I'll try the shelf

Depending on how old your baby is honestly an FN is not a cage for babies. The best thing to do for babies is have a smaller cage for them. Many members have had babies get out of the FN's and fall and die or get out and get killed by another family pet such as cat and dog. If this is a young baby, it's better to get a small low cage and baby proof it with 1/2 by 1/2 inch wiring.
