Wondering how often everyone lets their chins take baths. I expect I'll see dramatic differences between breeders and just plain owners, but I'm not sure.

I let my babies bathe two or three times a week, max. :)

I'm excited for the info! :dance3:

It stays pretty humid here and I can usually tell when he needs a bath. usually 2-3 times a week. Sometimes he slips an extra one in when he gets out and refuses to get back in until I put the bath down.

They get done when they start to look dirty, normally about once a month or so they get dusted due to my asthma and allergies, or simply when I feel like dusting them and feel like dealing with an asthma attack.

I dust one to two times a week. Sedona looks too cute with black circles around her eyes.

In the winter I usually only dust once a week. Once it starts warming up and getting wetter, I dust 2-3 times a week.

Daily here. When the boys come out for playtime each evening the first thing they do is hit the dust bowl like clockwork. Usually it's just a quick hop and roll in the dust and then off to other things. No one appears to have dry skin here so I'm not concerned about them dusting each evening for a bit.

I was told you are supposed to dust daily. I miss an occasional day but try to provide dust once per day usually in the morning. If I am in a rush in the morning we dust when I get home from work or during out of cage play time.

usually three times a week. How long does everyones Chin stay in the bath? I donno, Stormie usually only goes in for 5 mins (maybe I can get a 10... maybe ) and that's about it... is that odd??

I also have dust avaliable at playtime every day, they dust when they feel like it, not everyone goes in every day.

i normally dust once every 10 days. Vargs eye is very sensitive, and flares up every time he dusts.. sometimes i let it go longer, but he gets a little mad at me. although he never has had the "greasy" look.

I wish there was an "other" button to vote. Like Stacie, mine varies on the season. Once a week in the winter, more when it starts getting warmer and more humid.

I live in a basement apartment and sometimes it gets a bit humid so I dust Maddie 2-3 times a week. Usually every 2 days sometimes every other day if she needs it.

I dust mine about every 2-3 days. sometimes they don't want it, sometimes they are only in there for about 3 minutes. I think some chins know when they need it and when they don't. Some just love it!

I voted for whenever my chin looks dirty but at least once a wk. Sometimes more if they need it

eh, once a week, sometimes once every other week. Depends on how scruffy they start looking. I like to be conservative of my dust. I got a 50 lb bag at nationals in, er... 2006? and I still have like, 1/3 of it, if not more. (7 chinchillas)

Showers/Growers- Daily (regardless of season)
Breeders- When I clean their cages, so once every 2 weeks.
