How long before new mommy can have dust bath?

My girl Priscilla had hr litter on Tuesday and I'm wondering how long I should wait before letting her take a dust bath? I read that I need to wait at least a week to give her vagina a chance to close so she doesn't get an infection. Is that correct?

And what about the kits? They're fine for now but at what age/weight can I try them with a bath? I guess I'll have to let them watch their mother to learn how to do it?

I throw the bath in whenever I dust bathe every one else, whether that's the same day, next day, or 2 days later. I just make sure the dust is clean and throw it in there.

Ok! Do you let the kits stay in the cage with her while she's dusting or should I take them out in case they get too curious and try to hop in while she's rolling?

I agree with peggy and you can leave the kits in they will climb in when ready
