How important is the bedding??

My last cage had a deep plastic pan and the cage sat top of it with open bottom

I had to fill it often and super frustrated since mei Mei forgets to got potty in his toilet!!! I would be spot cleaning the bedding every day and change all of it once a week =(

Recently I've upgraded to ferret nation cage!! And I couldn't help but put him in there early =)

And then I realize I should have waited for the pans to come in first..:
No matter I put his toilet in there

And now he remembers to be on the bottom box in the litter pan with new and mix with a bit of soiled

He's remember to go everday!!
So how important is it to have bedding??

How do fleece flooring work? How do they stay down?
Good or bad idea ?
Pro ? Con?

My chins use their potty too, so I just cut a large piece of fleece and tuck it under or lay it inside the bass pans.

These are the bass pans right?
