Hovering Over Bowl

So lately, I've noticed my girl who is about 2 now has been hovering over her food bowl lately. Also noticed about two days ago some hair has gone missing on her tail. She is the only one in the cage. What could this mean? is this just a new trait that she has learned? and for her tail it just seems bare, nothing else wrong with it, she let me touch it and didn't seem to bother her.

I have a boy who is a food bowl hugger! Wesley often sleeps standing up hold onto his food bowl. It's a ceramic bowl an I think he likes how the cool ceramic feels on his belly.

Is there any way you can take a picture of the tail? It would be easier to answer if we could get a look at it.

Sounds pretty normal to me. My Trxie will sit in er hay bowl to eat from her food bowl..they are side by side.
Is yours doing any fur chewing on her tail?

mine hovers the bowl to. she sleeps stitting up holding the bowl or she will lie on her side next to the bowl like she is hugging it

Maybe something is aggrivating it. Definitely get a clear pic of it if you can.
