were having some unusually high temps where I am, reaching 30 degrees at the hottest times. The room i'm keeping my chin is struggling to stay cool. It is now at about 25 degrees Celsius, I know it should not be more than 20 and im doing my best to keep him cool with ice bottles wrapped in fleece etc. but he does not seem interested every time I put something cool in his age he moves far away from it.... :banghead: I feel like should be doing something about this as he must be hot right? But i have no idea what the problem is.....

You might consider getting at least a portable air conditioner to keep on hand for weather like this. I bet this won't be the last time you guys get a good dose of hot.

You are probably right. I bought an air cooler a few hours ago which seems to be practically useless unless I were to point it directly at the cage but if im not mistaken that will simply leave me with a sick chin.... it only runs slightly lower than the room temp and isn't enough to cool the whole room.

Have you gotten any granite or marble slabs to put in the bottom of the cage ? They seem to work wonders for my little one once the temps start rising.
