I just got a new chinchilla yesterday, she is only 8 months old, from a very reputable rancher. But, her ears are extremely hot. I "pinched" her ears between not fingers, not in the hurting way, just so one finger was on each side, and I could feel her blood pumping really hard. What could cause this? My house is at about 68, and does a fleece house but she refuses to go in it, she prefers the wooden house or cardboard tube.
