i have seen that before and i still laugh!! here's hoping you feel that good after root canal.
quick tip for you cause i have had many root canals (love candy!!) put on some vaseline or chapstick before you go in. my lips always get SO dry they feel like they are gonna crack.

Wow! That's really weird Stacie......I am just seeing this thread and was watching the video around the same time as you too!

I love this video. I think my favorite part is when he puts his hands down and pushes himself up and screams only to collapse down. Good luck with your root canal! I have never had one but my husband has. He decided to eat a brownie I made and overbaked. Lets just say he was spitting out little pieces of tooth after.

Those weird drugs they give you during dental surgery really mess with your brain. I've felt the same way and remember wanting to scream. Unfortunately I am not a young child so I can't get away with screaming. Getting my wisdom teeth out was bad because of the effects of the drugs...

That video IS hilarious! I love it... "Is this real life?"

I have to get my wisdom teeth out sometime soon and I'm absolutely TERRIFIED. I'm going to have to have my husband call and make the appointment because I don't think I can work up the nerve to do it!!

I first saw this about 3 months ago and LOVED it. I was just showing my abuela and mom yesterday. They actually are selling shirts with David on them. For $15-20 and the proceeds go towards dental charities to help children! Just thought I would point it out! You can check it out at www.davidafterdentist.com

Are you getting knocked out for them. I have had them both ways. Top two were impacted and bottom two were not so they just numbed and pulled. Neither of them were bad as long as you follow what the dentist says. Never had dry socket but have been told it is not fun.

Also, My bottom two I didn't even get pain meds for. They told me to keep up on ibuprofen.

All four of my wisdom teeth were pulled while I was awake(just numbed the area...multiple times because I kept feeling it) and he didn't give me pain meds until my dad called to scream at him because all I could do was cry and vomit the entire first day I had the left side pulled. The right side wasn't nearly as bad but man oh MAN was that painful!

That kid is lucky, lol...at least he got knocked out for whatever they did for him!

I had the same done Tabitha. I had my sealants done on all of my molars and all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out on the same day with just local anaesthesia. I was wide awake and didn't feel a bit of pain. They gave me a few pills for pain just in case and the first one I took made me puke.

I had all four pulled at once, but I was knocked out. For the most part it was fine. I think I may have taken a pain pill or two for the first 2-3 days. One of the sockets got infected and that was bad. But from what I hear, that doesn't normally happen.

Are your wisdom teeth still below the gum, or are they out?

All four are still below the gum line. But apparently they are starting to lean forward, crowding my other teeth, so I guess it's time for them to come out.

I *think* they're knocking me out. I've just heard so many horror stories about dry sockets...infections...pain, etc. Plus, I've never had any sort of surgery or anything--heck, I've never broken a bone, so I'm kinda clueless/anxious about what to expect.
