Update - Apple is taking water, antibiotics and critical care by syringe very well (although we've both worn alot of it too). She's more active and has lessened the barking. I've even seen a few normal looking poops. She still won't touch her food or water on her own, but hopefully she will when she's more settled in. I don't want her too used to hand feeding, but I'll do it as long as she needs. Hopefully I can get her plumped up. I'm so thankful for all of your good advice and warm welcome and I'm very happy she saw the vet. Whew! Pictures to come another time. I am still learning about color mutations, but I think I have one hetero-beige (Chillie) and I think Apple may be some variation of black velvet, she seems a little dark for a standard grey. She has the cutest little black toes.
