Hi all, I've joined a few forums today in the efforts of finding some good information. I have always been intrigued by rats but cannot handle their short life expectancies, so I'm looking for something that has similar qualities with a longer life span. I'm looking for information on Chinchillas and must admit that I've found a lot just today in terms of info, but I know that there is always more to learn, so here I am!

About me, I'm 21 years old, from Quebec, Canada. My boyfriend and I bought a house a little over a year ago and we share it with our fur kids. We have 2 dogs, 3 cats, 1 green cheek conure, 1 bearded dragon + other reptiles.

So, I'm anxious to get to know everyone and check out the forums to learn more about chinchillas, I'm looking for a long term pet, and I think I may have met my match.

Hi and welcome to the board... it's good that your looking to make a long term comminet to a chin.. you can do a rescue or get one froma breeder. or if you want but i wouldn't recommend it getting one from a pet store. do your reseach on chins and then decide witch one you would love to get

CHINS CAN GET VERY VERY ADDICTING !!!! ....................TRUST ME I HAVE THREE!!! :laughitup::laughitup::laughitup::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: and i was only suppoed to have tow but ened up with three of them and live my children and fur children like crazy and not to mention a dog and two hamsters
