I introduced myself up here, but wanted to encourage you, too, to submit your hedgehog to be Pet of the Day! It's been too long since we had a spiky honoree!

Would it be okay to submit a collage of photos? It's too hard to choose my favorite!

Instead of a collage, you can submit several pictures - we often show three pictures for a pet, each as its own image! Send as many as you like, and we do the hard work of choosing - that's why we have a team!

I still want to encourage hedgie owners to nominate a prickly friend! Today's Pet of the Day has some spines, but of an entirely different kind!

Any Hedgehogs wanna be a star?

Hey there, hedgehog people! Just thought I would encourage folks to let their special hedgehogs be a star, as we have not had a good hedgehog picture or nomination in a long time! I love having less common pets like hedgies as Pet of the Day because it is chance to let lots of people, including kids, as we know many teachers use our sites as discussion tools - to learn about them, what they are like as pets, and that they are far more than the animated pincushions some people think they are!
