I went to look at my chinchillas while they cuddled( to make sure they're getting along) and I saw my chinchilla shadow's, who I've had for nearly 3 weeks, right eye is puffy and swollen. At first I thought my other chinchilla his friend, scarlet, did something to him, so I took him out and checked him. Then I took a closer look at his eye and saw he got some of his fur in it. All of the vets in my area are closed right now, and I'm scared for my shadow because he runs and hides when I try to touch him or pick him up. Please help I tried to find what to do online and they all told me to call my local vet.

Most likely he's got an eye infection or a corneal abrasion (possibly from the fuzz sticking in his eye). For now, get some saline or just use purified water, make it lukewarm, and flush his eye out as best you can, then tomorrow get him into a vet. If it is a simple infection he'll need drops and possibly an oral antibiotic. If it's a corneal abrasion, they may or may not treat it differently. Be sure they also check his teeth to be sure there is nothing going on there that is causing the eye to swell.
