Help With Cage Smell

use critter care bedding. it elemates the smell all together. that way you don't smell anything and don't have the pans every couple days... just once a week

Critter Care is like Carefresh. Carefresh has been known to cause impactions in chinchillas who have eaten it. Some people still use it, but I would rather be safe than sorry. I only use pine or aspen shavings, or fleece. For smell I would recommend KD pine shavings changed out every few days.

Definitely keep the litter pans in there. Some of my guys have used them increasingly more over time. Plus any little bit not peed on the fleece helps. I also use the pine shavings in my litter boxes. I dump them every nite or every other depending on use & number of chins in cage.
